Karl Markovics won the Directors Debuts sidebar for "Breathing" and Radoslaw Ladczuk took the Cinematographers Debuts honor for "Suicide Room." Among fest guests, Aussie d.p. John Seale, known for his work with Anthony Minghella ("The English Patient," "Cold Mountain"), was honored for lifetime achievement, as were production designer Jack Fisk ("Tree of Life," "There Will Be Blood"), Austrian actor Klaus Maria Brandauer ("Mephisto," "Out of Africa") and director/d.p. tandem Todd Haynes and Ed Lachman. Others given tributes included Polish helmer Andrzej Wadja ("Ashes and Diamonds") and documentarian Albert Maysles ("Gimme Shelter"). The eight-day fest took place in Bydgoszcz for the second year after a disagreement with city officials in its longtime home of Lodz forced the move. FCC Moves To Bar AT&T Cope With T-Mobile Predicting Massive Job Loss
